HMI Mobile per AGRIFOOD Wine

In this project, the revamping study of a large Venetian winery was carried out which allowed us to focus on two main aspects:

  • Making the structure more environmentally friendly (green) through the energy saving of chillers, winemakers, storage tanks at controlled temperatures, crushing tanks, bottling by exploiting the installations of the photovoltaic systems existing in the structure.
  • Traceability of the product / lot. Historicization of the cultivation of grapes, area of origin, treatments carried out, type of grapes, when they are processed until refining and bottling through the use of the smartphone by means of batches (recipes).

The above was designed and developed with Ignition 8.0. Ignition is an industrial platform equipped with tools for creating human-machine interface (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. Ignition is a modular and easily extensible and customizable tool. The modularity allows Ignition to interface with any type of PLC device via OPC, and with many databases and clients of all types. Version 8.0 uses the new Perspective module, which allows you to connect the platform to mobile clients (smartphones and tablets), allowing you to design "responsive" interfaces that can also take advantage of the sensors of the mobile device (GPS, camera, Bluetooth , etc..). Perspective works with any HTML5 web browser and requires no plug-ins. This allows it to work not only on mobile, but also on various types of desktop clients. Another program considered for the study is Beckhoff's TwinCAT 3.
